Crown Electric Ships and Boats announced an initial agreement with Kuwait's Badr Sultan Group to develop and supply a fleet of zero-emission electric vessels for the region.
Contemporaneous reporting described an initial USD 10 million order covering electric cabin cruisers and catamarans ranging from 7.3 metres to 23.9 metres, designed for Middle East heat, humidity and sea conditions.
The agreement was reported as having been initiated around IDEX/NAVDEX 2023 in Abu Dhabi and signed by Ayman Badr Sultan al-Essa and Crown chairman Sonu Jayan.
